About the Founders

Jose E Alfaro, CIC, CPRM, CISR

Jose E. Alfaro is co-founder of INSURENEX and Managing Director of the Executive & Family Division. With a team of experienced and dedicated licensed agent-advisors, Jose supports business owners, professionals and their families protect their lifestyle and financial wellbeing. 

Prior to launching INSURENEX, Jose worked with law firms and with sole-practitioners providing general case management and administrative support. During his tour of the U.S. legal system, Jose developed a strong legal background with emphasis in workers’ compensation, civil litigation, and bankruptcy proceedings. With this awareness and understanding, Jose’s commitment to his clients is about them experiencing ‘peace of mind’ as they take on new opportunities, higher levels of growth and success. 

Jose is the recipient of the KCET and Union Bank of California “Local Heroes of the Year Award” during Hispanic Heritage Month; he is an ardent advocate of Education and believes that having an attitude towards constant improvement and a passion for what you do are among the key elements for continued growth and success. When Jose is not in the office, he loves to spend time with family; he is an avid runner and cyclist and is currently training for his 20th full marathon.

Carlos E. Alfaro, CIC 

As co-founder and President of INSURENEX, Carlos leads the Business Insurance Center, a unit focused on supporting small businesses and growth companies reach new levels of success in today's competitve business environment.

Carlos is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Over the last 23 years he has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, business owners and managers in structuring their insurance policies, identifying gaps in coverage and overall cost and risk management. 

Prior to entering the insurance industry, Carlos worked in the legal field where he gained valuable knowledge of the claims process and the importance of having adequate insurance coverage. When he is not at the office, Carlos enjoys travel, sailing and grilling at home.
